FAO Internship Program Location

Internships are available at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, and extend to various regions including Asia and the Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Near East and North Africa, Africa, as well as Europe and Central Asia. This global distribution allows interns to experience and contribute to FAO’s work in diverse cultural and geographical settings, enhancing their understanding of global food and agricultural issues.
FAO Internship Program Financial Benefits
- Monthly Stipend: Interns receive a stipend in local currency, not exceeding US$ 700 per month.
- Medical Coverage: Service-incurred medical issues are covered by the organization.
Eligibility Criteria for the FAO Internship Program
- Nationality: Candidates must be nationals of FAO Members.
- Education: Candidates with Bachelors, Masters, and PhD applicants can apply, or those who are graduated.
- The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) only accepts applications from candidates who hold higher educational qualifications from institutions listed on the World Higher Education Database (WHED)
- Languages: IELTS is not required.
- Age: Aged between 21 and 30 at the start of their internship.
- Family relation: Candidates with family members (defined as brother, sister, mother, or father) employed by FAO under any type of contract are not eligible for the Internship Programme.
- Visa: An applicant must be able to get a Visa before traveling.
