The Dutch Government Scholarships for 2024-2025 include fully funded scholarships for postgraduate studies and short courses for international students. Eligibility Criteria for Netherlands Government Scholarship

  • Required languages: English
  • Eligible countries: The applicant must hold nationality, residency, and be employed in one of the countries listed in the Orange Knowledge Program country list (see the country list document).
  • The applicant must work in one of the following entities: ministries, secondary or higher education institutions, universities, the private sector, or committees or non-governmental organizations.
  • The applicant is prohibited from working for bilateral or multilateral organizations, or international non-governmental organizations active in areas such as developmental cooperation, environmental protection, health, or human rights.
  • The applicant must be a professional with several years of practical experience in a subject related to local development, and must be in a position that allows them to practically apply what they learn.
  • The applicant must possess a valid identity document.
  • The applicant must have been accepted into the course or program they wish to apply for with an OKP scholarship.
  • If required by the local government, the applicant must submit a government statement with the scholarship application (see the government statement requirements document).
  • The applicant must demonstrate the availability of the required co-funding percentage to finance their studies.
  • The employer must support the scholarship applicant with a positive recommendation and declare that they will continue to pay the beneficiary’s salary during the program and will provide them with the opportunity to practically apply what they have learned upon return.

  • Application and selection procedures for the scholarship.
  • The online application form and required documents for submission.

(3) Prepare your application and gather supporting documents.

(4) Submit your application electronically through the Dutch institution that offers the course.
