Applications are now open for the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship for the 2025-26 academic year in Brunei. International students from around the globe are welcome to apply for the University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2025, for the intake starting in August 2025. This fully funded scholarship offers opportunities to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees at the University of Brunei Darussalam. The scholarship covers all necessary expenses required to complete the degree. No application fee is required.

A wide range of academic fields and majors are available at UBD, including Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity, and Integrated Technologies. The scholarship will cover all expenses for postgraduate degree programs.

Established in 1985, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is Brunei’s first university. UBD ranks 86th in Asia according to the 2024 QS Asia University Rankings and 254th globally according to the 2024 QS World University Rankings.

University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship Financial Benefits:

The University of Brunei Darussalam Scholarship 2025-26 offers full scholarships for both national and international students to pursue postgraduate degree programs at UBD. The scholarship covers the following expenses:

• Tuition fees, including registration and acceptance fees, are completely waived at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
• A monthly subsistence allowance of BND 2200.00 for 36 months.
• On-campus accommodation for the duration of 36 months.
• One round-trip economy class air ticket from the student’s home country upon acceptance of the scholarship and back to their home country upon completion of their studies.
• Field research allowances are provided, amounting to BND 1000.00 for Arts and Humanities candidates, and BND 2000.00 for Science candidates.

Scholarship Duration:

The duration of the scholarship at the University of Brunei Darussalam is divided into three categories:

• Master by Coursework: The study period is twelve (12) months full-time, or eighteen (18) months, depending on the specific program.
• Master by Research: The study period spans twenty-four (24) months full-time.
• Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): The minimum study period is thirty-six (36) months full-time, or up to sixty (60) months part-time, depending on the program.
